NETWORKING
EVENTS
We sponsor monthly networking events for the film industry
as an organizer or assistant organizer of eight Meetup groups. These
groups include:
The Film and TV Connection in the L.A. area with about
1300 members and several assistant organizers who are putting
on meetings.
This group began about three years ago, and members include
producers, directors, agents, managers, casting directors,
screenplay writers, DPs, and many others. You can

The Bay Area Film and TV Connection with activities in
the East Bay and San Francisco. The group also includes
a community of producers, directors, agents, managers,
casting directors, screenplay writers, DPs, and many others. We
are also affiliated with several Bay Area groups including
the Berkeley Community Media, Movie Making Around the Bay
Area, United Filmmakers Association, Video University,
and the San Francisco 48 Hour Film Project. You can

The Bay Area Screen and TV Writers, which started about
3 months ago and has monthly meetings for screenwriters
to get feedback on their scripts. You can learn

The Bay Area Film Fans, an organization of people who just
like seeing different types of films. The group has
several assistant organizers who arrange for film nights
at different theaters in the Oakland/Berkeley area and
in San Francisco. Additionally, we have a potluck
video night every month or two featuring a recent film
on DVD shown on a 52" screen. You can learn

PR and Networking Groups for the film industry and others,
both in L.A. and in the Bay Area. The groups have
occasional meetings and will be having teleseminars and
Webinars on how to promote a film, book, or other projects. You
