We are working with Paul Hardister of El Cine Productions on a TV Reality/Game show called MEETING MADNESS. It was shot in Santa Monica in 2009, and it is now in post-production to create a sizzle reel to pitch the show. * * * * * * We are working with Shamil Erfanian of Digital Era Productions to set up a nonprofit -- GLOBAL VISIONS ENTERTAINMENT -- to create films dealing with social issues and new developments in science, technology, and society. The goal is to combine entertainment with promoting social awareness. * * * * * * We are working with Ray Raffa of the Video University in creating film trailers and dramatic shorts. The Video University is designed to bring together experienced pros with newcomers to provide them with field training and experience. Ray Raffa's team helped provide the film crew for shooting our script trailer for THE NEW CHILD, which is now being packaged through GLOBAL VISIONS ENTERTAINMENT and for COUGAR AND CUB, which is now in post-production and will not only be a short but a trailer for an expanded film now in development. * * * * * * * We are participating in a program through the Berkeley CATV to create a television show, THE VERY NEXT NEW THING, which will feature interviews with individuals on the cutting edge of science, technology, psychology, and social change. The programs will first air on BETV and then be syndicated nationally as a 28-minute show for broadcast and in 7-minute episodes on the Internet. * * * * * * We have previously worked on co-producing our first independent feature, UNBALANCED, with Marianne Quinn of VideoVue productions, an award-winning producer of 4 previous films. Here's a bio: Marianne Quinn is a producer and director, who has produced four films, which have won four awards, as the owner of Videovue, a film production company. She is now co-producing the film UNBALANCED with Changemakers Productions. It is currently in production and is expected to be completed in the fall of 2009.
Marianne’s films which she produced include:
- ICE PAWN, for which she obtained world-wide distribution and post production funding as well as screenings at the Cannes Film Festival and the Kennedy Center, where she obtained extensive TV and radio coverage. The film is now in worldwide distribution through theatrical release and DVDs.
- WEST END STORY, produced in 2002, is a documentary about the anatomy of the musical theatre from Shakespeare to Broadway. It features Petula Clark, Andrew Lloyd Weber, Lucie Arnaz, Jerry Herman, Barbara Dickson, Oliver Tobias, and Broadway Tony award winning actress Frances Ruffelle, as well as producers, choreographers, press agents, and critics from London's West End Theatre. It won an award for the best documentary at the New York International Video and Film Festival and at the Thunderbird International Film Festival in 2002. It was also an official selection at the Big Bear Lake International Film Festival, Atlantic City Film Festival, and the Salt Lake City. It is now in educational distribution.
- FOLLOW THE LEADER, produced in 2002, is another award winning documentary in which top officials from various Presidential administrations, as well as CNN'S Wolf Blitzer, Senator Orin Hatch, Senator Jim Bunning, and members of the Secret Service, provide a behind the scenes glimpse into the oval office. The cast includes: President George W. Bush; Wolf Blitzer, the famed White House reporter; Senator Orin Hatch from Utah; Senator Jim Bunning from Kentucky; Secret Service Agent Mark Connolly; Newsweek journalist Eleanor Clift; Frederick J. Ryan, the Chief of Staff for President Ronald Reagan; Leticia Baldridge, legendary Grand Dame of Washington and Social Secretary for President; Jackie Kennedy; and many others. The film was the Winner of the Best Documentary at the Atlantic City Film Festival and an Official Selection in four film festivals: the New York Independent, Thunderbird International, Big Bear Lake International, and the Salt Lake City Film Festivals in 2002. The film is currently being turned into an 8-part series. It is now in educational distribution.
- SEVERE VISIBILITY, produced in 2007, is a conspiracy feature film about 9/11/2001. It premiered at the Diff International Film Festival in Italy in was nominated one of the four best North American Films at the Malaysian Film Festival in 2008. It is currently getting distribution.
- UNBALANCED, now in post-production, is a psychological suspense film about a long-time wanna-be producer who becomes unhinged as her protégée soon outstrips her and seeks revenge. Besides producing, Marianne has directed this film, which is expected to be introduced on the Festival Circuit in the winter of 2010.
Prior to becoming a film
producer, Marianne created a multi-million dollar business in the health and
diet field as a master franchisee owning 13 franchises. Before then, she was an
actor at the Bucks County Playhouse, and she studied theater and film as a
student at NYU and through training under Herbert Berghoff. |
